While everyone was busy arguing about the Pixel 11's RAM situation, Xiaomi had dropped something very affordable pricing. The Redmi Note 17 5G went official in India on August 6. Its main motive it to provide a budget-friendly phone with a long-lasting battery, Xiaomi is even calling it "mAhster Edition," currently getting hype.
Pricing and variants
The Redmi Note 17 5G comes in two configurations, and both has 128GB of storage:
- 6GB RAM + 128GB storage — price ranging from ₹24,999 to ₹27,999, with bank offers
- 8GB RAM + 128GB storage — price ranging from ₹30,999 to ₹33,999, with bank offers
Sales will began August 12 through Amazon India, Xiaomi's own online store, and Mi Home outlets. Xiaomi is also offering an extra ₹3,000 off with select credit cards, or ₹1,500 off if you pay through UPI.
This phone replaces the Redmi Note 15 features. Xiaomi skipped "Note 16" to match the naming used in China.

Redmi Note 17 5G has Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 chip. A bit slower than the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3, it's still a solid choice for budget-friendly phones. But has 8000mAh massive battery. If you are someone who plays heavy graphic game or video, this phone is a good choice.
